“Lucy Rew worked for us over Christmas 2020 as our private chef.  She was at all times completely professional, but was also a pleasure to have around.  She was incredibly flexible as I changed timings, menus, numbers as we had meals inside and outside around a firepit. She produced Christmas picnics, lovely and varied menus from the very traditional to the more interesting Ottolenghi inspired type dishes. For me, this was a spoiling change to having to do all the cooking myself, but from one end of the week to the other I did no shopping, or in fact hardly entered the kitchen.  As a control freak this was quite hard, however, I should not have worried as Lucy took the whole responsibility out of my hands and made Christmas a great pleasure from start to finish. No job was too hard and she had no problem doing all the washing up, all the shopping, creating all the menus, laying the table, filling and emptying the dishwasher (time and again), cleaning the kitchen from top to bottom and always leaving everything immaculate at the end of each day. She also left us freezer food from some of the left over bits and pieces.  I would have Lucy back any time.”
